Grafton County

Tax Collector’s Meeting

June 27, 2017

The Annual Grafton County Tax Collector’s meeting took place at the Lincoln Town Office in Lincoln, NH. The meeting opened at 6:00pm.

The meeting agenda consisted of a round table discussion session. There were 8 Tax Collectors in attendance.

The round table discussions were very interesting and informative for all those who attended. Some of the topics were mobile homes, deceased owners, certified notices for liening and deeding, mortgage search notices and costs, deeding, and payment arrangements. Linda Buffington from Plymouth passed along a business card for a Grafton County District 8 Representative to give to the Executive Board. Linda said that Representative Steve Rand is very interested in speaking with someone about possibly drafting some legislation for the collection of past due taxes on mobile homes. Hannah Joyce will pass along the business card to Melinda Kennett, President of the Tax Collector’s Association at the next scheduled business meeting for the Executive Board. Delicious snacks and drinks were provided and the annual meeting adjourned at 7:50pm.

Respectfully Submitted,

Raymah W. Simpson, Grafton County Coordinator

Hannah B. Joyce, Grafton County Coordinator
