2022 - Township Trash bags sold in boxes of 50 bags for $40.00 or 1 roll of 25 bags for $20.00 @ Municipal

building 126 North Main Street during regular business hours. Payments for bags that are accepted are cash, check, money order, or credit card with $1.00 processing fee. Single bags may be purchased at: Rite Aid, Plains Food Store and Schiels Market. NOTE: CHANGE AFTER THE FOLLOWING HOLIDAYS: Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas bag limit will be 8 bags. Only Plains Township trash bags will be collected. There is a four ? bag limit. BAGS MUST BE TIED & WEIGH 40lbs. or LESS. No trash out before 6:00 pm the night before curbside pickup.

If Recycling guidelines are not followed your recycling will not be collected - Recyclables must be CLEAN & AT

CURBSIDE BEFORE 6:00 AM in a reusable container, not in a plastic bag. The following recyclables will be

collected: plastic containers with #1 through #7 or with the recycling symbols; CLEAN green, brown or clear

glass jars & bottles, tin and aluminum cans. Newspapers must be tied or in a container. Newspapers in a

plastic bag will not be collected. Cardboard must be flattened & tied or in a container ? PIZZA BOXES ARE NOT

RECYCLABLE. If dirty or unacceptable items are placed in the curbside container, the ENTIRE container will be

left at the curb. Workers will not return to pick up these containers. We must enforce these regulations to

continue to provide this free service. Miss your pickup day? The recycling drop off site (on Cemetery Street) is

open M-F 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM for recyclables ONLY.
