Group discussion: A review of SARS
1. The following are measures carried out by the Hong Kong government and the World Health Organization (WHO) to counter the 2003 outbreak of ‘SARS’ (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome). Get into groups of 4 to 6 and discuss the objectives of these measures as well as your thoughts on these measures.
2. If another epidemic disease breaks out in Hong Kong again, what would you suggest the government do to cope with the outbreak? Get into groups of 4 for a discussion, and select a representative to report your discussion results in class.
