|ROLE PURPOSE: |

|The role holder will support the Treasurer in providing a first class treasury service to the organisation, with direct responsibility for |

|the oversight and supervision of daily treasury operations and liquidity management. |

| |

|They will also be responsible for optimising banking transactions, to ensure maximum cost efficiency for the organisation. |

|SCOPE OF ROLE: |

|Reports to: Treasurer |

|Staff reporting to this post: Treasury Assistant |

|Budget Responsibilities: None |

|KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY : |

|Cash flow management: |

|Responsible for: |

|oversight and supervision of daily treasury operations. |

|liquidity management, to ensure efficient funds flow across geographies. |

|obtaining the best exchange rates possible for regular transactions using 50+ global currencies |

|minimising bank charges |

|managing global banking relationships and overseeing the use of 400+ bank accounts worldwide |

|implementing approved cash management controls and policies |

| |

|Work closely with the Treasurer to: |

|prepare cash flow forecasts (with inputs from the broader finance team), |

|regularly analyse liquidity versus the cash flow forecast, thereby identifying and managing liquidity risks and providing an early warning |

|system for senior management |

|effectively manage working capital (especially currency, counterparty and duration risks). |

| |

|Relationships: |

|Building and maintaining relationships with our key banking partners to facilitate the above |

|Responding to auditor queries regarding treasury activities |

|Provide support and advice to members and countries as required. |

| |

|Other duties: |

|Deputising for the Treasurer as needed. |

|Contributing to the preparation of the notes to the statutory accounts and responding to any queries that may be raised during the audit. |

|QUALIFICATIONS |

|A bachelor-level degree or equivalent. |

|EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS |

|Significant experience of working within a corporate treasury function of a multinational organisation. |

|Strong exposure or experience of key treasury risk management aspects and tools including executing currency transactions (spot, forwards, |

|swaps) and managing FX, counterparty and duration risks.. |

|Numerically literate, adept at working with, manipulating and drawing conclusions from high volumes of data. |

|Strong Excel and IT skills |

|Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. |

|Ability to operate within a fast changing environment: adaptable, flexible and supportive approach. |
