To be the overall accountable lead for an identified set of sector subject areas for the Trafford College Group in respect of curriculum planning, quality of provision and outcomes for students. To participate as a member of Trafford College Group Leadership Team and contribute to the overall management and development of the Group. To contribute to the lead of transformational change across the Trafford College Group supporting our aspiration of being an outstanding careers college.KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY Ensuring the achievement of agreed KPIs related to outcomes for learners for the subject sector areas of accountability including but not limited to retention, attendance, attainment / achievement, progress, and destinations. Leading the quality of provision across the subject areas of accountability as reflected in self-assessment outcomes and external validation by bodies such as Ofsted and the OfS.Driving recruitment and innovation across the curriculum offer within the subject sector and areas of accountability to meet agreed growth targets. Ensuring an effective balance of efficiency and effectiveness across the subject sector and areas of accountability as reflected in KPIs including but not limited to contribution rates, class sizes, staff utilisation and stakeholder satisfaction.KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITYSet and monitor business plan objectives for all areas of accountability annually in line with the Trafford College Group Corporate Plan.Lead the development of the curriculum plan for Adult Education and Higher Skills/Higher Education that meets the needs of users, secures growth, and supports the Trafford College Group in its strategic objectives. Drive a culture of continuous improvement in delivery and customer service that delivers agreed quality standards across the curriculum and student / employer experience across Adult Education and Higher Skills/Higher Education and the wider Trafford College Group.Lead the development and implementation of a Higher Skills/Higher Education Strategy across the Trafford College Group, ensuring the needs of employers and the economy skills gaps are met, that there are consistency of academic standards and learning opportunities for all students.Support a model of stakeholder relationship management that builds the reputation of Adult Education and Higher Skills/Higher Education provision and Trafford College Group and enables new business development opportunitiesSet and monitor curriculum objectives and KPIs across all areas of accountability through highly effective management of self-assessment and staff appraisals Deliver the effective operation of all financial planning and other management controls needed to ensure the efficient utilisation of the physical and financial resources. Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of curriculum planning and delivery activity across all areas of accountability Successfully develop relationships with local stakeholders including the local authority, employers, managing agents and community groups Provide reports to the Board of the Corporation and Leadership Team on a timely basis.To produce appropriate policies and advice on the primary areas of responsibility. To lead quality improvement strategies to promote high success and efficiencies. To effectively use data on curriculum performance to set and achieve targets for the maximisation of improvements and to assist in measuring success.To undertake a range of interventions including learning walks, observations, and audits to monitor individual performance and address under performance.To ensure the effective implementation of course review and self-assessment within the curriculum, ensuring areas for improvement are identified and actions to address underperformance are agreed. To produce an agreed annual development plan for curriculum areas of responsibility which reflects recruitment, quality, and business development. To drive transformational change in relation to curriculum design and delivery including the implementation of digital skills strategies. To lead on learner improvement strategies across curriculum areas of responsibility working closely with the Quality Team. To maintain strong working links with external stakeholders, awarding bodies, employers and professional organisations as required by the Executive Team.Physical/Financial Resources Successfully manage budgets to deliver projects and outcomes within agreed budgets.To work with the relevant Heads to contribute to financial planning in the context of staff, accommodation utilisation and resources.Successfully deliver income targets and ensure that Trafford College Group activities maximise cost efficiency and income.
