Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program- Students will submit an essay on the topic that appears on the scholarship page: They will be awarding up to $1,000 to the winner(S)

AES Scholarship- AES Engineers is committed to continuing its support of higher education by providing scholarships to deserving students. This award is available to all students, regardless of their field of study. The student needs to answer one of the essay questions that they will find on their site at the amount of award is $500.00

Alpha Delta Kappa-Ruth Wass -The Alpha Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, an international honorary sorority for women educator, would like to once again offer a one-time scholarship award. The amount of the scholarship is $500 and will be awarded to a graduate of the Troy School District. The scholarship is named after one of our members, a former longtime employee of the Troy School District. Wass Elementary is also named in her honor. Ashley’s Dream & George Ku Memorial Scholarship- Each applicant is to write an essay, up to 500 words, explaining to them how you are advocating against the danger of drinking and driving. Convince them in 500 words that you are actively making your friends, family, community, and our roads a safer place. One winner will be selected and awarded a $4,000 scholarship. Bayer Family Foundation Scholarship- Offering two $10,000 scholarships for attendance at the University of Michigan. Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan- The Community Foundation manages more than 20 scholarship funds directly through their single-step online application process. Students only have to submit one application via the online portal, which confirms their scholarship eligibility for all the programs that the Community Foundation oversees. David’s Faith and Hope for Life Foundation- The David Barns Scholarship will be awarded to a male and female high school seniors that represent David’s academic excellence, athletic prowess, and commitment to the community. The scholarship will provide $2,500 of financial assistance for college tuition. Additionally, the scholarship is eligible for renewal for three years, assuming good academic standing, continued community involvement, and a service commitment to the Foundation. Detroit Association of University of Michigan Women (DAUMW) Scholarship- The availability of (3) $1,000 scholarships, which will be awarded for meritorious achievement to female students who are planning to attend the University of Michigan in the fall of 2019. It is based on the student’s academic record and her contributions in non-academic endeavors, demonstrating her leadership potential. However, financial need may be considered with students of equal credentials. Application available in The Counseling Office.

Donovan Xavier Baker Scholarship- The scholarship offered to African-American male ages 17-22 to assist in post high school education. Go to the Review the qualifications and tell them your story explaining why furthering your education is important to you.

Gamma Lambda Education Foundation- Graduate from a Metropolitan Detroit Area High School, Grade-point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, Acceptance into an accredited four-year institution of higher learning, African-American male, Participation in the Gamma Lambda Education Foundation Scholarship Program and related activities sponsored and/or approved by the Gamma Lambda Education Foundation. Gary Burnstein Scholarship- Gary Burnstein Community Health Clinic is thrilled to offer a scholarship contest to high school junior girls whom have made a difference in their community. Briefly describe in 500 words or less. One scholarship for $500 is awarded, and you must be able to be present to win. Application is available in the Counseling Office.

Growth & Associates Scholarship- The lawyers at Growth & Associates are proud to offer a generous $1,000.00 scholarship for any individuals who qualify. Jim Burns Memorial Scholarship- The Jim Burns Memorial Scholarship seeks to support a college-bound, Troy High Senior who has suffered the loss of a parent, step-parent, or guardian with a one-year award of $1,000. John Luttig Scholarship Fund- or seniors planning to pursue an architectural degree from Lawrence Tech. -3.25 GPA or better- scholarships

Joyce Ivy Foundation Summer Program Scholarship-The Joyce Ivy Foundation Summer Scholarship Program provides scholarships for talented, high-achieving young women from the Midwest to participate in academic summer programs at some of the country’s top colleges. Scholarships are awarded based on merit and financial needs.

Leila Kristine Armin Scholarship Foundation- In honor of Leila’s memory, two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded annually to senior ranking, college-bound female students at Troy High. Lighthouse Guild- Lighthouse Guild offers an annual scholarship program for college-bound high school and graduate students who are legally blind. Apply online scholarships

Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship Program- Lockheed Martin is awarding 200 renewable scholarships of $10,000 each. Awards are open to individuals studying eligible engineering or computer science major, who demonstrate financial need and come from underrepresented or underserved communities. Maggie Miller Scholarship- Students going to University of Michigan- The 2019 MACAC Maggie Miller Scholarship is now available! This year, they have a new essay prompt. Essay- Either a 3-minute video essay or 750 word or less written essay. Students are required to read “Maggie Story” and then select one of two essay prompts. Martell Alumni Scholarship- The staff at Martell has always believed in the education of young people. Their goal has been to prepare students for the challenges they will be facing in the years to come. This scholarship will be a one-time grant of $500 to be used for post High School education. The applicant must: Have attended Martell Elementary, graduating senior at Troy High, have maintained a 2.0 grade point average or higher, be planning on attending a post High School education. Metro Bureau Scholarship- To be eligible students must: Be a graduating senior from a high school of a Metro Bureau member school district. Intend to enroll at one of the following Metro Bureau Member Colleges/Universities: Oakland University, Wayne County Community College District, Wayne State University. Scholarship award amount will be $1,000.00. A matching amount may be made by the college/university for those students entering the field of education. Recipients will be required to provide proof of acceptance at one of the institutions listed above. Application are available in the Counseling Office.

Michigan Retailers Association- They will be awarding 19 scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,000. The awards are not based on financial need. The student or his/her parent must be employed at a business that is member of Michigan Retailers Association. Students are encouraged to apply online at bit.ly/mrascholarships. Michigan State University Alumni Club of Oakland County- This is for seniors who have been accepted for study and plan to attend Michigan State University for the 2019-2020 school year. The award is $2,000.00 it is based on grades, test scores, recommendations, comments made by the student and his counselor as well as an interview. Questbridge College Prep Scholarship- for current juniors with un-weighted GPA of 3.5 or above in challenging courses, family income below $65,000 and interested in the participating college summer programs-full scholarships for many excellent summer programs-students must order transcripts in time for application deadline-

Realtor Scholarship Fund- The scholarship Awards are available for all career choices. Applicants must be residents of the state of Michigan, graduating seniors from high school within the jurisdiction of the Realtor Scholarship Fund, and attending a Michigan School of Higher Learning. Their minimum Scholarship Award is $1,000. Students may apply by visiting and complete the online application. ONLY ONLINE APPLICATIONS ARE BEING ACCEPTED!

Robert A. Schuele Scholarship- The intention of the Robert A. Schuele Scholarship Fund is to grant a scholarship award in an amount that will secure the attendance of a student at a major college or University in Michigan. The Trustees are searching for an application who has outstanding character, demonstrated commitment to academic studies, significant financial need and who will take advantage of the mentoring and networking resources the Trustees intend to offer to maximize the recipients educational experience. The Robert A. Schuele Scholarship Committee has secured funding for the release of another four-year full-ride scholarship opportunity. Selected students will be interviewed in May and the award of the scholarship will be announced in June 2019. The application is available online only.

Robert Edward Lang Scholarship- This scholarship is sponsored by the Greater Detroit Chapter of the United Nations Association (GDUNA). The fund awards $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors in Metropolitan Detroit pursuing a degree related to international studies at an accredited college or university.

Rosa Parks Scholarship- The Rosa Parks Foundation offers a $2,000, non-renewable scholarship to Michigan High School graduating senior. Winners are selected on the basis of scholarship, leadership, financial need, and dedication to the civil rights principles of Rosa L. Parks, whose historic stand against racial prejudice in 1955 brought her national recognition. The Foundation was established in 1980 to provide equal- opportunity scholarships to Michigan High School seniors. Rutgers Pre-Engineering Summer Academy- Rutgers University- New Brunswick is excited to announce an opportunity for students interested in engineering. The Rutgers School of Engineering is offered the chance for students to participate in a new Pre- Engineering Summer Academy to develop to their knowledge and skills through real-world field experience. The intensive one-week certificate program will introduce students to a variety of engineering areas including: Aerospace, Biomedical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Forensic, and Mechanical. Sara Violet Foundation Scholarship for Science or Engineering- This scholarship honors the life of Sara Violet Guenther, who was a member of the Troy High Class of 2011. Society of Women Engineers for Community Colleges- Josie Rewald Memorial scholarship is a scholarship focused on female students pursuing their engineering education at a community college. Applicants must be: Entering or enrolled in a full-time community college program which articulates/transfers to an ABET-accredited engineering program, and a resident of Michigan. Application available in the Counseling Office.

Society of Women Engineers Scholarship- Must be a female in their senior year of high school in Michigan. She must pursue an engineering degree at a university or college with an ABET accredited engineering program, with a min. GPA of 3.0. Application available on line and in the Counseling Office.

Student -View Scholarship Program- The 2019 Student-View Scholarship Program is offering $11,000 worth of scholarships to High School seniors who plan to attend a four-year college, community/junior college or career school. The program includes: One $4,000 scholarship, Two $1,000 scholarship, Ten $500 scholarship. Simply log on to student- and complete a 15-20-minute application survey about colleges in your area. The Officer Collin Rose Memorial Foundation Scholarship- Award $1,000- The Officer Rose Memorial Foundation Scholarship honors the memory of fallen Wayne State University Police Officer Collin Rose. He was murdered while on a street investigation in Detroit in November 2016. He was pursuing a master’s degree from the university at the time of his death. This scholarship may be renewed once for the following academic year. Student must request renewal by April 1 the academic year of the initial award and show proof of continued enrollment in one of the eligible fields of study while maintaining passing grades. Applicant shall be majoring in mediation, dispute resolution, criminal justice, law enforcement, firefighting or paramedic services. Troy Community Lions- Troy Community Lions will be offering two $500 college scholarships to graduating seniors. They must reside in Troy, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and plan to attend college in September 2019.

Troy Education Association Building Scholarship- For students at Troy High- Students pursuing education as a career, Students who have demonstrated a need, Students who are children of teachers, Academic achievement. Troy Women’s Association- The Troy Women’s Association (TWA), a local non-profit organization, will be awarded $8,000 in educational scholarship this Spring! Community Foundation- The Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan offers dozens of scholarship funds for graduating high school seniors. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4037 Art Contest- Each year, more than 3,500 high school students from across the country participate in the VFW Auxiliary’s Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest. Wayne State University Writing Competition- The COHN-HADDOW Center for Judaic Studies at Wayne State University announces the 3rd annual Writing Competition. Students in the ninth through twelfth grades are invited to submit an original work that deals with an aspect of Jewish Culture and Jewish Life, Past and Present. The best two submissions in each category will be awarded a cash prize of $500, with awards of $100 for Honorable Mention in each category. In addition, award-wining entries will be published online and in print in a Literary Magazine that the center will produce. Deadline for submissions: March 1, 2019.
