NOTICE TO INVOKE DISCRETIONARY JURISDICTION OF THE FLORIDA SUPREME COURT

Plaintiffs/Petitioners (and Appellees in this Court), UNITED INSURANCE COMPANY OF AMERICA; THE RELIABLE LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY; MUTUAL SAVINGS LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY; and RESERVE NATIONAL INSURANCE COMPANY, invoke the jurisdiction of the Florida Supreme Court to review this Court's decision issued on June 3, 2020, and rendered August 3, 2020, upon the Court's order denying Appellees' motion for rehearing en banc. A copy of the Court's June 3, 2020, decision is attached hereto

as Exhibit A, and a copy of the Court's August 3, 2020, order denying en banc

review is attached hereto as Exhibit B.

The decision is within the discretionary jurisdiction of the Florida Supreme

Court because the decision expressly declares valid a state statute, and the decision

also expressly and directly conflicts with decisions of the Florida Supreme Court

on the same questions of law. See Art. V, ? 3(b)(3), Fla. Const.; Fla. R. App. P.

9.030(a)(2)(A)(i) and (iv).
