Programming

Technical ConsiderationsProgramming We will be using the Unity Engine and the C# coding language. Since we have been using these tools from the start, it felt like the safest things to use while also being reliable and more than capable of what we want for the project. We will be using version 2.2f of the Unity engine. We plan to name everything under the synoptic project name so we can keep track of everything we work on. Personally, I can keep files at home and at College as backups should something happen to them. In the team, different coders will work on different aspects, such as one coder on movement and character interactions while one works on world-based coding.3DAs stated before, we will be using the Unity engine, with the PBR shader. For asset creation, Maya will be used for modelling, Substance Painter for texturing and Photoshop for digital assets. Everything between Unity and Maya match up, however we may need to adjust Maya’s in software measurements to make it easier in Unity. Using the Style Guide will help keep the style consistent. For lighting, we plan to use the skyboxes provided in Unity. When assets are complete, they will be sent to the in-engine worker, who can implement them from there. ................
