and INVITATION TO JOIN OUR PCN GOOGLE GROUP

This is STEP II of PCN SignUp

(created after problems distributing)

At the end of STEP I is this same invitation to STEP II.

• Why join? Because this will be the main venue for PCN to distribute email notices.

• If you wish to still receive email notices this step IS necessary.

• Short history: Current day spam controls wreak havoc with group and network email distributions. Once a group is established and the signup is complete, this should go miles toward solving PCN’s problems. Google Groups allows dumping in email addresses without your input and I could do that, but with our numbers it would be flagged and membership completion would be held up indefinitely. So that is why I am asking for your member initiated help. I readily admit that this will cause some of you to like me a little less. But I am confident that you guys and gals are all techies and can knock this out without setbacks or cursing me out too badly. So let’s get started!

If you already have confirmation of membership from in our PCN google group, than disregard the below process. For the vast majority of members this is your first invitation to join our google group.

IMPORTANT: There are two separate actions required. To be part of our group you need both a google group account, and in a separate action, to actually join our PCN group.

You will be creating a “google account” but don’t confuse that with an email account. A Google Group Account and email account are 2 completely different things.

The google group account is completely innocuous. YOU KEEP YOUR CURRENT EMAIL. The Google Group account simply allows you to be a part of this group (or other google groups) and have some editing controls. Use your email address as the sign-in.
