Discount Stores - Check out SuperTarget, K-Mart, Walmart, and Ross for cheap new furniture. These stores are located in the malls. Some have online shopping options. They will deliver.

Bulletin Boards - Individuals who wish to sell personal items may advertise on Bulletin Boards. Check in your department as well as at Wholefoods Grocery, Regulator Bookstore, Bryan Center and Hospitals North & South.

Yard/Garage Sales - A tradition here! Homeowners or neighborhoods will sell used items in their front yard or garage. You will need your own transportation. Prices are negotiable. You'll usually find the ads on your neighborhood listserv and in your local newspapers.
