Subj: NOTIFICATION OF USE OF MANAGEMENT IDENTIFICATION OF CANDIDATE

1. This is to advise that I intend to fill the position described below through Management Identification of Candidate (MIoC). Introduction:

The Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) Division prepares junior officers for combat and operational leader roles through a four-year immersion program of leadership. LEAD Division houses: the Brigade of Midshipmen Honor Program, the Department for Character Development, the Department of Leadership, Ethics, and Law (LEL), the Department for Experiential Leadership Development (ELD), the Department for Leadership Development Research (LDR), and the LEAD Company Officer Master's Program. The division's curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular programs offer educational opportunities and experiences designed to develop the attributes and characteristics that Officers need to be effective and trusted leaders in the Navy and Marine Corps. The incumbent serves as the LEAD Division Educational Technician.

KSAs:

a. Collect, organize, review, and process, and review administrative data to produce documentation to include class schedules, academic materials, educational publication, academic papers, guest lecturer documents, official correspondence, instructional aids, as required.

b. Perform teaching load and space availability analysis in order to assist educators in scheduling faculty classrooms, including courses taught during the academic periods of the day and evening additional instruction and lectures. Coordinate examination scheduling with registrar personnel. Receive and handle a variety of administrative documents supporting course offerings, faculty and staff schedules, and faculty and staff awards.

c. Perform assignments involving the collection and reporting of data for budget preparation. Assist leadership in the development of various budgets for materials, travel, and ASDP. Maintain property inventories as appropriate. Review and verify the validity of requisitions for supplies, services, printing, and equipment. Perform purchase card expenditures.

d. Develop, design, and maintain web page materials for the division. Update web page information and maintain links to other sites. Convert documents and images into appropriate formats for posting to the web page. Create graphics and manage technical issues related to the web page.

e. Perform oversight, organize, and coordinate the synchronization of civilian and military annual performance reports, fitness reports, and award submissions. Maintain currency on existing policies and revisions to ensure official correspondence and performance evaluations are in accordance with governing instructions.
