Yard Security: Buses ? A recent USNA security decision should make it easier for us to get buses on the yard. As long as one person has a retired DOD ID card, they can assume "Bus Captain" (a big promotion for most of us?). This means you just need to show your retired DOD ID card to clear the bus goes through gate 8. Walk-in ? You can walk in gate 1 from 0500-0000 with any kind of State or Federal photo ID, including your driver's license Drive in ? Gate 1 0600-1800 You can drive in Gate 1 with any DOD ID card. Gate 8 is always open, with a DOD ID card required for access.

Exiting ? You can exit thru the turnstile at gate 3 but cannot get back in through that gate unless you have a DOD Common Access card. Gate 3 is closed for drive in. Parking ? Parking is always difficult in the yard. Approximately half of the midstore parking lot is blocked off as a lay-down area for McDonough Hall renovation. (Will the diggers and fillers ever be finished?)

Keeping everyone safe and healthy- Covid-19 Mitigation: (Dr. Mike Stocks '72) The Reunion Committee is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment

during our reunion weekend. As such, we advise following current CDC Covid-19 guidelines:

? The CDC recommends being up to date on immunizations and boosters in consultation with your personal physician.

? There are currently no outbreaks of Covid-19 at USNA. On 27 September 2022 as a result of the low and declining number of Covid-19 cases in Anne Arundel County, and consistent with local guidance, Naval Support Activity Annapolis and USNA are no longer requiring masks indoors and have transitioned to Health Protection Condition A (HPCON A).

? Although masks are no longer required in public, individuals may choose to wear a mask at any time. If you are at high-risk for complications from Covid-19, CDC recommends you wear a well-fitting mask or consider avoiding non-essential indoor activities. A limited number of masks will be made available for indoor events and you may choose to bring your own mask.

? Frequent handwashing is encouraged, and hand sanitizer will be made available where possible.

? If exposed to Covid-19 and asymptomatic, wear a high-quality mask for 10 days and get tested at day 5. If exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19 or test positive, you should isolate.

? There will be a limited number of home test kits available at venues. ? These above recommendations are not meant to address every situation. Please

check for additional Covid-19 guidance.
