We wish you and your families a very Blessed and Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Happy New Year 2013.

It has been 52 years since we prepared for Christmas with our classmates in our Senior year at MHS ... without i-pads or i-pods, cell phones or computers ... and never having heard "politically correct."

Our grandchildren are all so technologically advanced, they have no idea what they've "missed". Don't be surprised to find none of them have heard of Bing Crosby as we listen to Christmas music this season. As many of us recall the windows at AM&A's ... and our seasonal favorites, our grandkids will have their own very different Christmas memories.

Thankfully we are seeing many reminders ... and we hope more of our youth see them too ... clearly indicating "Jesus is the Reason for the Season".

Future MHS Reunions or

classmate get-togethers

There will be MHS All Class Reunion Picnics annually on the fourth Saturday of July ... we will send info by e-mail regarding these events.

Our next Class of 1961 regular reunion will be our 55th ? likely the weekend of the All Class Picnic.

Other events are possible We offered another event like our 50th Caribbean Cruise, either a cruise or an all-exclusive resort, before our 55th reunion; but there was not sufficient interest.

All updates to the "Program Booklet" distributed at our 50th reunion are included on these two columns. This also duplicates updates in prior "Oracles".

For your convenience, you may wish to print and cut-out this list to keep in your booklet. The "list of classmates" with contact info updated here. The "Photo Memory Book" has one correction.

IF you were not at the reunion and did not receive a booklet, one can be sent to you electronically ... but keep this list of updates as changes we made in the database but NOT the booklets. {Snail mail copies of printed booklets will be limited until I return to Buffalo in April.}

Buffalo Bills Game Possible MHS Get together

In updating addresses I spoke with Gary McElroy ... who suggested a possible get together at a Bills game ... tailgating and maybe more since his club is the Bills Backers of Virginia and he has some "connections" ... Gary also has kept his season tickets to the Bills. This would likely be at a game next fall ... probably when the Bills play at home two weeks in a row, as Gary is most likely to come to Buffalo for those games.

Anyone interested in this possibility please send an e-mail to Gary at BuffaloBills23@ and copy me at maryvale1961@ . IF there is enough interest that a game date is selected we'll get the definite announcement out to more classmates ... so everyone has a chance to attend. I will also plan on being at the local Fort Myers bar that shows the Bills game projected on a 10 foot high wall - but no snow!

Our Next Firmly Set Reunion

The MHS All Class Reunion Picnic date is set for Saturday July 27th, 2013, the 4th Saturday in July.

Florida MHS Cl'61 Reunion /

With the recent addition of Bob Zolczer we now have a total of twenty-one (21) classmates now residing or `snowbirding' in Florida. Alphabetically the first three are in my zip code ... which led to this map showing yellow flags for each location (some zip codes show 2 or 3).

There is at least one other classmate who told me he "snowbirds" in Florida ... but I do not know where. If you are in Florida and would be interested in a "reunion" gathering sometime in February or March 2013, please send an e-mail to Jerry at Maryvale1961@ . This would tentatively be in a central site around the Orlando area ? but suggestions for a specific location to meet for lunch or dinner would be appreciated. If there is sufficient interest we will communicate a date and location to all. FYI ? our last Florida reunion, just before the 50th Caribbean Cruise, was attended primarily by those on the cruise, with only two classmates not cruising with the group. We hope to hear from enough classmates to proceed with this is 2013.

Oracle ? Classmate Input

Our 50th Reunion Oracle issue referenced the first few Oracles and suggested classmates submit articles. This helped for the first few Oracle issues in 2001, and provided data for more frequent "publications".

The final issue of 2011 included Bill McNamara's summary of his retirement presentation with many photos.

Avelino Zapanta kindly followed-up with a summary of his 2011 life events, which I delayed getting out until June of this year but we have seen little recent input from other classmates. Added 2012 input from Lino is included below.

We hope to have the 50th photo booklet available for viewing on our website soon, possibly before this Oracle is "published".

Lists of missing and deceased classmates are on the website, as well as recent Oracle issues. We will NOT include the program booklet due to the amount of personal contact info included in the classmate list, but can send this individually to any classmates who requests it
