We have a classroom set for use at school; however, it is recommended that students purchase graphing calculators for their own use (can be left at home). GRADING POLICY AND STANDARDS OF CONDUCTMATERIALS: 1 ?” 3-ring binder Spiral notecardspencilsgraphing calculator*4 – AAA Batteries1 dry erase markerASSIGNMENTS: Assignments will be given daily.??Students have the opportunity in class to ask about problems they missed or did not understand. Not all assignments will be entered in gradebook, but will be collected randomly and graded for correctness. TESTS/QUIZZES: Students will have tests and quizzes usually given weekly. The point value on these will vary.? Students will have the opportunity to retake one Summative each quarter to improve their grade (excluding summatives given at the end of the quarter).? Requirements for retakes include (but are not limited to) completing assignments leading up to the test, correcting the original test, and completing the retake by the given deadline. Details for each retake will be posted once the original test is returned.? GRADES: The marking period grade is determined such that 60% of the grade is Summative (tests) and 40% is Formative (short quizzes, homework, and other assignments). ABSENTEEISM: When a student is absent, it is his/her responsibility to find out what assignments and notes were missed and to make up that work promptly. All assignments are available on my website and are posted in the classroom daily.EXTRA HELP: I am available during lunch on Tuesday and Thursday. In addition, Mu Alpha Theta tutors will be available soon. EXPECTATIONS:Be prepared in your assigned seat when the tardy bell rings.Make sure your cell phone is put away.
