The Opportunity

Hillberg & Berk is expanding quickly. As we continue to scale up, we must enhance our processes and systems to ensure operational excellence while evolving our brand and entering new markets.

As an integral part of our executive team and reporting to the President & COO, we are seeking a Vice President of Operations to optimize our end to end operations and to inspire excellence in the internal execution of our corporate growth strategy.

What can you expect in this role?

You will lead, evolve, nurture, and propel our growth through your overall leadership of our supply chain, demand planning, and global sourcing operations. The VP of Operations is accountable to oversee the successful performance of all operations including demand planning, sourcing, purchasing, manufacturing, quality, our distribution center, and of course, above all else, the safety of all operational team members.

You will present timely recommendations to address strategic and operational issues and alert the executive team to important risks and risk mitigation plans supported by analysis and best practice. Corrective measures will be implemented in a way that balances the needs for efficiency, quality and client service.

In this role you will build effective relationships with cross-functional partners to promote a collaborative, one team approach that promotes high performance with our customer at the center of

all decision making. As a strong leader you will model our values while inspiring growth and development within your team as we make exciting changes to enable our expansion.

What do you need to apply?

We are looking for a senior operations leader with proven success (10 + years) in manufacturing, supply chain and distribution leadership. Previous experience working with global purchasing and/or an international distribution system will be an asset as you build and leverage your network. If you have a post-secondary education to match, even better. Having a thorough knowledge of Six Sigma and lean methodologies will help you as you establish, evaluate, and maintain the expected performance standards for your business unit. A strong understanding of how technology successfully enables high performance and experience in a retail organization would be considered assets.
