Peace Garden consists of two main beds, each around 70 ft long and 5 ft wide, with outdoor benches, a composting area, and a new compass. New trees Memorial garden; butterfly garden, an herb garden, and two built-in boxes with annuals, perennials and shrubbery. Wildflowers and fruit were also planted. 4,500 sq ft of asphalt was removed and replaced with a grass; benches and ten large trees. Outdoor Laboratory" with vegetation planted as food for wildlife who struggle in an urban setting. Raised beds, new trees, natural grasses and flowers, and a wetland pond with aquatic plants

Planted eight trees to check erosion on the schoolyard hillside. A butterfly garden and a vegetable garden, two rain gardens, and a fully lined pond, with water tolerant plants, which provides habitat and food for wildlife.

Watershed Storm Anacostia MS4 the school selected the front entrance way for two

MS4 located near Oxon Run, The school created several rain gardens that collected runoff from the parking lot. The garden construction slows runoff and filters urban pollutants. Tree boxes were created.
