Dear Campers and Parents,

This note will alert you to the opening of Darci Borski’s Soccer Academy. We are looking forward to an exciting week of fun, expert instruction, and challenging activities in soccer.

Camp begins Monday, July 7 at 9:00 a.m. and pick up is at 3:30 p.m. Camp drop-off and pick-up should be on School House Lane beside the tennis courts across from Penn Charter’s playing fields. Please use the driveway that leads to the new squash courts, which are adjacent to the tennis courts, and park in the small lot. We will be using Summers Field which is located in the back. “Early-bird” drop off is at the kindergarten playground via the Fox Street entrance, and after care pick up is in the basement of the Lower School via the Fox Street entrance through the red doors or the blue surface playground. If it is raining, please report to the front circle of the school. Enter the campus from School House Lane and turn left at the stop sign. (Campers may spend some of the day in an Upper School classroom/gym.)

Come dressed to play in shorts, a t-shirt, sneakers and soccer cleats (which are required). You must bring sneakers each day to camp. Strength & conditioning will take place on certain days in the weight room and if there is inclement weather we will be in the field house and cleats are not permitted. We will have soccer balls provided but you must bring the soccer ball to camp each day. Please bring the following equipment and supplies: Shin-guards, water bottle, sunscreen and lunch. Please be sure your child’s name is on the lunch bag. If you have signed up for the lunch option, we will supply lunch so there is no need to bring your own. (Children must bring their own snack.) Additionally, since swimming will be provided please pack a swimsuit, towel and flip-flops/swim shoes.

Be sure you have completed the medical form which is available on our registration site and have it returned before the first day of camp. Campers will not be permitted to participate in any activity unless we have the completed medical form. We will have a nurse on staff all day, so please call the camp office if you need to bring in any medications or if you need to inform us of your child’s special needs.

We look forward to helping your camper realize his/her potential as an individual athlete. Please don’t hesitate to call the camp office if you have any questions or concerns. See you on July 7th.

Sincerely,

Darci Borski Charlie Kaesshaefer
