A PREAMBLE

a) Stofbergsfontein is part of the West Coast National Park (WCNP) and we are all required to observe the rules and regulations of the Park Authority and those contained in the Constitution of the Stofbergsfontein Home Owners Association (SHOA) & the Environmental Management Plan (EMP)

b) SHOA have appointed trustees who in turn have appointed ‘node representatives’ to assist in managing these rules. Kindly liaise directly with your node representative or trustee should you require any clarification and / or assistance in this regard & please ensure that all visitors are made aware of and abide by the rules

c) Residents and visitors to Stofbergsfontein are requested to assist in ensuring that the peace and tranquillity & traditional atmosphere of the village is not disturbed and that, in particular, the conduct rules listed below are observed and adhered to for the common benefit of all.

B CONDUCT RULES.

1. Please practice consideration and respect for your neighbours and their possessions and assist with general security.

2. Noise

a. Please keep noise to a minimum.

b. Revving of engines, loud music, audible house and/or car alarms are not permitted.

3. Vehicles etc

a. Vehicles to be parked in areas designated for each house and as unobtrusively as possible without affecting the views & site lines of owners.

b. Only licensed & roadworthy vehicles are allowed & are to be driven by licensed drivers

c. Quad bikes and motor bikes are not permitted.

4. Boats, Trailers & Slipway

a. Store all boating/sailing craft on your erf - not on the beach or at the slipway area.

b. Remove vehicles & trailers from the slipway and access roadway immediately after launching.

5. West Coast National Park ( WCNP )

a. Practice consideration and respect for Park officials & observe park rules.

b. Visitors are to pay the Park entrance fees at the gate or purchase Wild Cards.

c. Speed limit within the Park is 50km/hour. Roads are also used as walkways and cycling routes

d. Keep off the marsh – it’s for the birds & wildlife.

e. Pets are NOT allowed in the Park or the village. Visitors to the park with pets will not be allowed entry. Only dogs already registered with WCNP & belonging to original shareholders are permitted.

6. Rubbish & Refuse

a. Please assist & keep all areas clean & tidy. Rubbish may NOT be left outside houses or on the side of the road. Please place household rubbish in strong sealed black plastic rubbish bags in the rubbish shed, well away from the doorway. Please take weekend rubbish & bottles back to town .

b. Builder’s rubble, old furniture, machinery or sports equipment, etc may NOT be placed in or outside the shed – please arrange for removal from the Park.

7. Security & Safety

a. Protect our collective privacy from uninvited visitors.

b. The entrance gate is to be kept closed at all times.

c. Owners are to take responsibility for the safety and conduct of their children, guests & visitors and for compliance with SHOA rules.

8. Rented Houses

a. Rented Houses are for the use of those renting only and they may not be used for parties or functions.

b. Lessors to ensure that their tenants & guests abide by SHOA rules .

9. General

a. No camping or caravans are allowed on erven or common areas (erf 63 or the beach areas.)

b. No film or photographic shoots are allowed on erven or common areas

10. Access

a. Access to Stofbergsfontein is subject to SHOA rules as amended from time to time.

b. SHOA accepts no responsibility for the health and safety or conduct of owners or visitors to the village nor does it accept any liability for loss or damage to persons or property .
