Baptist Medical Park Surgery Center, LLC, and our service providers are committed to providing high-quality, efficient outpatient surgical care in both in-network and out-of-network arrangements. The term "out-ofnetwork" refers to a patient's right to go outside of their insurance company's network to receive care from the provider of their choice. Consumers may pay for this right through higher premiums, higher deductibles and additional copayments. Our facility supports a patient's right to see the provider of their choice to receive the care that they require.

In addition, the surgery center supports a provider's right to be an out-of-network provider. Depending

upon the number of insurance providers in a marketplace, it may be difficult or impossible for a provider to

negotiate a contract with every insurer. In certain instances, insurers limit the number of providers in their

network or offer reimbursement rates that do not cover the cost of some providers' services. These market

forces should not prevent willing patients from obtaining care pursuant to their insurance coverage with the

provider of their choice.
