RULES:
Colorado & Boulder County 4-H Horse Show Rules Apply to 4-H CLASSES
? Age: Age of rider is determined by rider's age on 12-31-2021; Junior 8 ? 10; Intermediate 11 ? 13; Senior 14 ? 18. ? 4-H Exhibitors must be enrolled in a 4-H Horse Project this year and must show their own project horse(s). ? Helmets are REQUIRED for all Walk/Trot thru Level I Riders & recommended for all others. Helmets required for gymkhana events. ? Western Riding, Reining and Ranch Riding classes are open only to riders holding a Level I card or above. ? Show Hack classes are open only to riders holding a Level II card or above. ? Participants may not be penalized for wearing an ASTM/SEI certified helmet in any class that does not require a helmet. ? Classes with 3 or less entries may be combined and larger classes may be split. ? Classes 16 and 33 Walk-Trot riders in these classes may not cross enter any class which canters or lopes. ? Class 40 requires two entry fees. Riders shall wear the same back number. When you sign up please let us know who you are paired
with.
? "Parents" classes are for current and past parents of 4-H members. ? Please clean up after your horse-hay/manure.
US Equestrian Rules apply to OPEN CLASSES
? Age: Age of rider is determined by rider's age on 12-31-2021 ? Family and Friends Pleasure Class One rider rides one direction of the arena; a second rider rides the same horse/same tack the other
direction. Two entry fees for this class. No tack changes allowed - only stirrup adjustments.
? Entries close one class prior to class entering the arena ? Age 17 and under riders may NOT show stallions. ? In accordance with the US Equestrian Rules, participants may not be penalized for wearing an ASTM/SEI certified helmet in any
class.
? Unruly and/or dangerous horses or riders will be excused. ? Chaps are optional for western classes ? Classes with 3 or less entrants may be combined ? Whips, crops and spurs are optional for English classes ? Class 40 requires two entry fees per class. Riders shall wear same back number. When you sign up please let us know who you are
paired with.
? No Refunds on scratches. ? Please clean up after your horse-hay/manure.
COVID-19 - Maximum numbers in areas may be required. All attendees must wear a mask and social distance. Please check show day for other requirements. We appreciate your cooperation.
