Job Summary

Aggregates, transforms and models raw pricing data from multiple sources. Presents findings in custom reports to support conclusions and inform effective business decisions. Supports and guides pricing decision making process. Provides data, insights, tools and recommendations to support pricing strategies, collaborating with third party vendors to improve quality of data inputs. Performs related work.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

• Aggregate, transform, and model large amounts of raw source data from syndicated, customer-specific and/or reporting resources.

• Meet specific needs by determining appropriate data selection and custom reporting as directed by supervisor.

• Quantify, analyze, and interpret data. Evaluate the reliability of source information by weighting raw data and organizing results for analysis.

• Create excel templates utilizing raw data.

• Interpret data trends and create recommendations based on findings.

• Work with IT to improve integration of new data in to WinCo’s Retail Information Management System (WRIMS).

• Respond to requests for information on current & potential uses of available data.

• Present findings to support conclusions and inform decisions.

• Create custom reports that answer specific business questions and maintains periodic reporting tools.

• Organize information into presentation format by studying, analyzing, interpreting and classifying data.

• Assist the pricing team as needed by preparing or participating in presentations to answer any questions regarding the data and data analysis information.

• Identify erroneous or questionable data and suggests procedural changes to assure quality of data collected.

• Collaborate with third party vendors to improve quality of data inputs.

• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Requirements

Education:

• Associates degree in Business, Statistics, or Finance or related field OR equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience demonstrating knowledge of research analysis, data analysis, etc.

Experience:

• Demonstrating expert level knowledge in MS Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, etc.) software.

• Exhibiting strong ability to manipulate and analyze data, make judgments and develop reports.

• Demonstrating effective oral and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of internal and external team members and customers.

• Demonstrating proficiency with numerical data and calculations.

• With responsibility exhibiting a strong understanding of analytical calculations.

Ability to:

• Understand and interpret data and draw conclusions in order to solve business issues and make recommendations.

• Demonstrate strong organization skills and attention to details.

• Be extremely self-motivated, take initiative and drive results.

• Multi-task and work in a fast-paced, multiple-priority environment.

• Be highly organized and detail oriented.

• Write and speak clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings.

• Perform all tasks with integrity and extreme confidentiality.

Machines and Equipment Operated:

• Office machines (computer terminal, copier/scanner, 10-key, fax machine, telephone, etc)

Preferred Education, Experience and/or Credentials:

• Basic understanding of retail or grocery industry.
