JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Title:Division:Digital Content Production Adviser External Relations Location:Responsible to:Date:RankLondonSenior Digital Communications Adviser Jan 201841.JOB PURPOSETo create and publish all forms of digital content across all digital and social platforms. To optimise the positioning and branding of IPPF across all external digital channels. To work with the Senior Digital Communications Adviser to ensure all digital and social platforms are supported. To share a number of core skills and tasks with IPPF Central Office Communications team.2. KEY TASKSTo maintain and promote the activist management tools including NationBuilder across the Federation and ensure the optimal use by Regional Offices.Producing and executing content scheduling and outreach plan for the full email campaign lifecycle to grow and develop the Activist database of Membership Associations (including Nationbuilder) and to ensure the successful community management and growth of IPPF’s online global supporters. To work with the Communications Team colleagues to ensure email marketing campaigns are appropriate and strategic.To work with the Senior Digital Communications Adviser to develop a strategy for the full digital marketing remit, ensuring smooth and strategic integration between email campaigning, social media and PPC activities, as well as successfully executing these tactics.To work with the Senior Digital Communications Adviser to develop an effective social media strategy and training for the Secretariat and maintaining it and leading on the implementation.To use in-depth knowledge of emerging social platforms, tools and capabilities to ensure IPPF is digitally engaging and progressive via all digital channels at all times. Genera web publishing that includes building basic landing pages using HTML, CSS and /or JS, as well as general website troubleshooting.To work with the Senior Digital Communications Adviser to produce analytics reports, social reports and PPC campaign reports to drive the creation of SEO relevant content and successfully market these across all digital channels. Identify and develop potential partners or acquisitions for joint social media marketing venturesTo make digital content using all aspects of digital production, including writing, layout, picture use, embedding of video and audio as required. Content to be published and promoted across IPPF’s digital and social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others as required.To manage, plan and organise existing digital content using the digital content calendar and hootsuite to be shared across all digital and social media platforms.To assist the Senior Digital Communications Adviser in digital and social planning, acting as main point of contact on all digital areas in their absence.To help future development of IPPF digital functionality by proposing development and maintaining a current understanding of digital development.To assist in the management of and publication on internal platforms such as Asset Bank as required.To create simple graphics and edit simple audio and video when requiredTo work within and contribute to the implementation of IPPF’s Communications Strategy.To ensure gender is effectively mainstreamed within the remit of the post and in line with IPPF’s Gender Equality Policy.To build and maintain positive working relationships with all members of staff and contacts both within and outside the Federation.To become familiar with the Federation’s Health & Safety Programme guidelines. SKILLSDetail the skills needed to do the job, including languages.Innovative and creative thinking.Good communications skills (both verbal and written).Ability to work within defined budget and strict deadlines.Production and publishing knowledge about external materials. Sound administrative and organizational skills. Flexible – team player Good working knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP and JS, with demonstrable experience validating and fixing code.Good working knowledge of Dreamweaver and Photoshop packages.Good experience with website analytics reportingSolid experience developing and managing PPC campaigns and PPC campaigns reporting Solid experience managing and executing email campaigns, split testing and retention reporting.Social media management and reporting.Project management skills with internal and external projects.7.PERSONAL COMPETENCEDescribe the characteristics of effective job performance, eg. sound judgement, ability to maintain confidentiality.Awareness of and sensitivity to the multi-cultural environment in which IPPF operates.Ability to travel internationally up to 20 days a year ................
