You will be taken on a photographic tour of Birkenau. Once on the correct page, you will be asked to answer some literal and interpretive questions based on what you see and what you read on this web site. The title of each photo is in bold type. Be sure you are looking at the correct photo before answering the question(s).

Look over the MAP page and locate the entrance, the unloading ramp, the women’s barracks, the men’s barracks, and the crematoriums (also spelled “krematorium”, so don’t get confused). You will be clicking onto many of the red “hot spots” and answering questions based on the pictures you see. Begin by clicking the square located at the entrance to the camp.
