Here is how the install the software:



In the following text, left-click = the left button, and right-click = the right button on your mouse.

How to install the “key file” needed to operate the software.

1. Have your computer turned on and running.

2. Place “DISK 1“ into your “CD-ROM drive”.

3. On the “Desktop” (if you have “Windows XP”, left-click Start), double left-click "My Computer" and then double left-click your “CD-ROM drive”.

4. When the “CD-ROM drive” window opens, find and right-click the “nsfastky” file.

5. When the “nsfastky” sub window opens, left-click “Copy” and then close the “CD-ROM drive” window by left-clicking the “X” icon in the upper right corner.

6. On the “Desk top” (if you have “Windows XP”, left-click Start), double left-click "My Computer" and then double left-click "C:".

7. When the "C:" window opens, find and right-click the "WINDOWS" folder.

8. When the ”WINDOWS” sub window opens, left-click “Paste”.

NOTE: A copy of the “nsfastky” file will now be placed into the “WINDOWS” folder.

9. Close the “C:” window, by left-clicking the “X” icon its upper right corner.

How to install the software.

1. On the “Desk top” (if you have “Windows XP”, left-click Start), double left-click "My Computer" and then double left-click your “CD-ROM drive”.

2. Find and double left-click the "FASTPRG" folder and then double left-click the “WIN2000” folder.

3. Double left-click the “SETUP” folder and then double left-click "Setup".

4. The “Setup program” will now automatically start, so just follow its instructions.

5. When install is finished, close all windows by left-clicking the “X” icon in their upper right corners.

Creating the “FAST” and “E-FAST” folders on your computer.

1. On the “Desktop” (if you have “Windows XP”, left-click Start), double left-click "My Computer".

2. Find and double left-click the "NISSAN" folder (it was created when program was installed).

3. Place your mouse pointer in the blank area (DO NOT place it on any files or folders) of the “NISSAN” folder and right-click.

4. When the sub window opens, place your mouse pointer on "NEW".

5. When the next sub window opens, place your mouse pointer on "FOLDER" and then left-click.

6. A folder named “New Folder” will now appear in the “NISSAN” folder.

7. Note that the folder’s name is now highlighted in RED, so type in "FAST" and press the “ENTER” key on your keyboard. The folder will now be renamed “FAST”.

8. Again, place your mouse pointer in any blank area (DO NOT place it on any files or folders) of the “NISSAN” folder and right click.

9. When the sub window opens, place the mouse pointer on "NEW".

10. When the next sub window opens, place the mouse pointer on "FOLDER" and then left-click.

11. A folder named “New Folder” will now appear in the “NISSAN” folder.

12. Note that the folder’s name is now highlighted in RED, so type in "E-FAST" and press the “ENTER” key on your keyboard. The folder will now be renamed “E-FAST”.

Transferring the “DISK 1” information to the “FAST” folder.

1. Place the "DISK 1" CD into your CD-ROM drive.

2. On the “Desktop” (if you have “Windows XP”, left-click Start), double left-click "My Computer" and then double left-click your “CD–ROM drive”.

3. Left-click the "Edit" command on the “top tool bar”.

4. After the sub window opens, left-click "Select all" and the sub window will close.

5. Again left-click the "Edit" command on the “top tool bar”.

6. From the sub window, left-click "Copy" and the sub window will close.

7. Close the “CD-ROM drive” window by left-clicking the “X” icon its upper right corner.

8. On the “Desktop” (if you have “Windows XP”, left-click Start), double left-click "My Computer".

9. Double left-click "C:", double left-click the “NISSAN” folder and double left-click the "FAST" folder.

10. Place your mouse pointer in the blank area of the “FAST” folder and right-click.

11. When the sub window opens, left-click “Paste” and all of the information on the “DISK 1” will be transferred to the “FAST” folder.

Transferring the “DISK 2” info to the “E-FAST” folder.

1. Remove the “DISK 1" CD and place the “DISK 2” CD into your CD-ROM drive.

2. On the “Desktop” (if you have “Windows XP”, left-click Start), double left-click "My Computer" and then double left-click your “CD–ROM drive”.

3. Left-click the "Edit" command on the “top tool bar”.

4. From the sub window, left-click "Select all" and the sub window will close.

5. Left-click the "Edit" command on the “top tool bar”.

6. From the sub window, left-click "Copy" and the sub window will close.

7. Close the “CD-ROM drive” window by left-clicking the “X” icon its upper right corner.

8. On the “Desktop” (if you have “Windows XP”, left-click Start), double left-click "My Computer".

9. Double left-click "C:", double left-click the “NISSAN” folder and double left-click the "E-FAST" folder.

10. Place your mouse pointer in the blank area of the “E-FAST” folder and right-click.

11. When the sub window opens, left-click “Paste” and all of the information on the “DISK 2” will be transferred to the “E-FAST” folder.

Place both CD’s in case and save them for installation on other computers, as you will no longer need them

Setting the software, so that it finds the “FAST” and “E-FAST” folders.

1. Left-click "START" on the “lower tool bar” and then left-click "Programs".

When the “Programs” window opens, move your mouse pointer over to "FAST for Windows” ((this was created, when you installed the program) and then left-click "FAST setup".

When the “FAST setup” window opens, left-click the “CD-ROM setup" tab.

When the “CD-ROM setup” window opens, highlight the “Drive 1” line by placing your mouse pointer on it and left-clicking.

Left-click the “Browse” box and the “Browse for folder” window will open.

Left-click the “+” box to the left of “C:” and then page down to the “NISSAN” folder.

Left-click the “+” box to the left of “NISSAN” folder, left-click the “folder icon” (NOT the “+” icon) to the left of “FAST” and then left-click the “OK” box. “Drive 1” line, should read “C:\NISSAN\FAST\”.

When the “CD-ROM setup” window comes back up, highlight the “Drive 2” line by placing your mouse pointer on it and left-clicking.

Left-click the “Browse” box and the “Browse for folder” window will open.

Left-click the “+” box to the left of “C:”, left-click the “+” box to the left of “NISSAN” folder, left-click the “folder icon” (NOT the “+” icon) to the left of “E-FAST” and then left-click the “OK” box.

If “Drive 2” line reads “C:\NISSAN\E-FAST\”, setup is complete, so left-click the “OK” box.

How to run the software.

Left-click "START" on the “lower tool bar”and then left-click "Programs".

Move your mouse pointer to "FAST for Windows" and left-click "FAST menu".

When the “FAST menu” comes up, left-click either:

"FAST system" (for 1979 to 2003 models).

" E-FAST system” (for 1964 to 1978 models). NOTE: When starting “E-FAST”, you may get a small window indicating an error. Just click the “OK” box and program will start.

The system that you selected will now start, wait for it to load.
