Ethernet Port Plug an Ethernet cable from a switch or router into this port.

Plug this connector into a USB port on your PC. 2 USB Connector (Use USB 3.0 for best performance.)

Driver Installation - Windows? 8/7/ Vista?/XP

The driver installation instructions that follow are for Windows? 8, 7, Vista?, and XP. This process may vary slightly for older Windows? operating systems. For information about how to install the DUB-1312 on Mac or Linux systems, refer to the DUB-1312 user manual on the Installation CD.

Step 1 Insert the Installation CD into your CD drive. The DUB-1312 menu screen will appear. Click Install to begin the DUB-1312 driver installation. The InstallShield Wizard window will pop up and run automatically for Windows? 8 and 7.

Note: If the user interface does not start up automatically, go to your PC's CD drive and open Autorun.exe manually.

Note for Windows Vista? and Windows? XP Users: This driver does not have WHQL digitally signed certification for Vista and XP. If you see a warning message regarding WHQL status, you must accept unsigned driver installation in order to continue. Windows Vista and XP x64 users should disable WHQL checking in order to proceed with driver installation.

Step 2 When the driver installation is complete, plug the DUB-1312's USB cable into an available USB port on your PC. Within a few seconds, Windows will detect a new device and install the device driver software. Note for Windows? 8 and 7 Users: Installation will be automatic. Skip to Step 4.

Step 3 (Applies only to Windows? XP) The Found New Hardware Wizard window will open. Select Yes, this time only and click Next to continue. On the next screen, click Install the software automatically, and click Next to continue. The driver software installation will run automatically. Step 4 Attach an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the DUB-1312. Step 5 Attach the other end of the Ethernet cable to your network switch or router. Note: If your switch or router has ports with gigabit capability, make sure you use one of these ports to achieve maximum data transfer speeds.

Installation Complete

After installation, the Connection Speed LED will be solid orange if the device is connected to a 1 Gbps network. It will remain off if the device is connected to a 10/100 Mbps network. The Link/ACT LED will be solid green when there is a good physical connection between the DUB-1312 and the network. It will flash green when data is being transmitted or received.

If both LEDs are unlit, there may be a problem with the physical connection. Check the cables between your DUB-1312, your computer, and your switch or router. Verify that your network hub, switch, or router is powered on.
