SPOTLIGHT
Lucile H. Fair
January 26, 1908 ? October 30, 2014
Lucile Fair was born in New York and traveled to Orlando when she was 3 months old. It is here that she would spend the rest of her life. She graduated from Orlando High School, was a retired member of the Civil Service and devoted to the College Park United Methodist Church. She was an avid traveler,
writer, and attendee of Beardall Senior Center for many years. Lucile was a part of the Beardall Senior Center Writers Group with her specialty in travel writing. She once said of travel writing "It enables us to combine our sense of adventure with a story-tellers' flair and traverse the world on a sheet of paper." Ms. Fair also began painting at Beardall Senior Center in the art class. She painted many beautiful paintings and greeting cards she would send to family, friends and neighbors. If you received one of her handmade greeting cards, it meant you were very special to her. We will miss
her smiling face at Beardall.
