Employees Make Bagged Lunches for East Valley Men's Shelter

Tempe--January 21, 2012-- Henry & Horne, LLP's employees took time to make over 80 bagged lunches for the East Valley Men's Shelter.

Henry & Horne, LLP employees provided the food and time to make, package and store the bagged lunches at East Valley Men's Shelter (EVMS) part of A New Leaf in Mesa. The sack lunches are handed to the men on their way to work that day or stored to be used for the same purpose during the week. A New Leaf's EVMC 84-bed shelter provides comprehensive programs and strategies for each resident. Residents are prescreened before enrollment and asked to be candid about the problems that resulted in their homelessness. Once at the facility, staff ensure that each resident comply with the established rules. During their stay all residents must work full-time and save 85% of their income. EVMC is a four month program, during which time resident's work with case managers to find permanent or transitional housing. This was a great event and Henry & Horne, LLP thanks all of the employees who took to time to make the lunches and give back to those in need.
