2019-20 Parent Calendar

2018-19 Parent Calendar

Dear KHS Families,

It is the time of year again for students to finish course selection for the 2019-20 school year! Now is the time for students to explore our course guidebook and talk with teachers to gain as much information on the wide range of courses and opportunities we offer at KHS. Please encourage your child to contact their school counselor if they have any questions on course selection. Remember, it is easier to choose the right courses now than to change schedules in fall.

Seniors- remember we are rapidly approaching deadlines for many scholarships. Please be sure to check in Student Services as new scholarships arrive weekly. There will be a graduation meeting for all seniors on March 19th during our ACP time.

Juniors will be taking the State required ACT and ACT Work keys Tests on February 20th and February 21st. Please check out the opportunities to prepare for the ACT test that were shared via emails and newsletters.

Second semester is a busy time. Please continue to watch for newsletters and emails. As always, if you ever have any questions or general feedback, please let us know. We hope to see you at Parent Teacher Conferences on February 18th. Thank you for your continued support!

With Great Papermaker Pride,

Jackie Schleicher Principal

KHS Students Participate in local Art Show and take home Best in Show!

Students at KHS participated in the local high school show titled "A Brush with Art" at Jack Richeson School of Art and Gallery in Kimberly. There were seven participating schools, Appleton East, Appleton North, Freedom, Little Chute, Xavier, and Kimberly. The show began in December, and runs through February 9th. The award for best in show was presented on Friday January 11th, and the recipient was Anna Armstrong, from KHS! She received a $250 certificate for materials at Jack Richeson. The People's Choice Award will be announced at the end of the show in February. If you get a chance to stop in and see the show and vote for your favorite piece, you won't regret it! Congrats to our six participants from KHS, as well as the winner of the highest honor of the exhibit. Awesome job to Anna Armstrong for receiving the "Best in Show" award!

Weather Cancellations and Delays

Winter is right around the corner. If weather conditions dictate that there will be no school or a delayed start, a decision to keep the schools closed is usually made by 6:00 a.m. Parents with students in school receive a direct call, text and/or email from our auto-call system through Infinite Campus since that is the fastest way to communicate with thousands of parents at one time.
