Findlaw: 

Summary: Extensive web site that includes U.S. Code, Code of Federal Regulations, and the U.S. Constitution with annotations from Congressional Research Service, Library of Congress. It also includes a search engine (see Lawcrawler, below) for searching other legal sites throughout the Internet.

Government Printing Office (GPO) Access:

U. S. Code: 

Summary: The database includes all official U. S. Code notes and appendices, as well as the Table of Popular Names. The U. S. Code database constitutes the 1994 Edition of the U. S. Code, plus Supplement I and the contents of the most recent edition of the Law Revision Counsel's U. S. Code Classification Table.

Summary: This site provides regularly updated information on rates for per diem, travel, transportation allowances, and entitlements worldwide. Current editions of Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) and Joint Federal Travel Regulation (JFTR) for DOD personnel. (No word-search capability.)

Federal Travel Policies (GSA):

Summary: The first site provides comprehensive travel information on Federal travel, including per diem rates, contract airline schedules, state tax exemption listings, POV rates, and FAQs. The second site includes Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) provisions governing travel and transportation allowances for Federal civilian employees (chapter 301); relocation allowances for Federal civilian employees, and certain new appointees (chapter 302); payment of expenses connected with the death of Government civilians under certain circumstances (chapter 303); and payment from a non-Federal sources for travel expenses (chapter 304). Also included is chapter 300, a general introduction to the FTR and agency reporting requirements.

Defense Industry Initiative: 

Summary: Defense Industry Initiative is a consortium of U. S. defense industry contractors that subscribes to a set of principles for achieving high standards of business ethics and conduct. Site contains case studies for use in ethics training programs.

Department of Defense Directives System: 

Summary: Provides access to DoD Directives 1000.1 through 8999.99; also Freedom of Information Act A2 files, instructions, publications, administrative instructions, and directive-type memoranda. (User may query by keyword or search by directive number.)

Department of Justice (DOJ): 

Summary: Department of Justice legal documents, Attorney General memoranda, opinions, and annual and other reports.

General Service Administration (GSA) Office of Government-Wide Policy (GOP):

Summary: The GOP's purpose is to consolidate all of GSA's policy-making activities within one central office. The web site functions in a similar fashion, providing many links on its main page to Government programs, and organizations.

Merit Systems Protection Board: 

Summary: Includes Board decisions (1994-present); procedures, forms and reports. (No word-search capability.)

Office of Government Ethics Opinions: 

Summary: This web site provides OGE advisory letters (opinions), DAEOgrams, forms, publications, and other resource materials related to the executive branch ethics program.

Office of Legal Counsel Opinions (DOJ): 

Summary: Decisions issued since 1993. Non-searchable.

Office of Special Counsel: 

Summary: Contains detailed information on OSC policies and procedures in connection with prohibited personnel practices, the Hatch Act, whistleblower disclosures, veterans' employment and reemployment rights, and other matters; selected Hatch Act advisory opinions; forms, publications, and employee education training material; press releases; annual reports; and selected pleadings filed with the Merit Systems Protection Board. Assistant Secretary for the Army, Research, Development, and Acquisition (SARDA): 

Summary: Web site for the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Research, Development, and Acquisition. Provides broad information on Army contracting, including up-to-date news, contracts, a roster of contracting organizations, and publications.

Closed End Funds: 

Summary: Sorts closed-end mutual funds by name, symbol, inception date, or objectives. Contains information on nearly all mutual funds traded on the U.S. stock market.

Commerce Business Daily (CBD): 

Summary: This real-time CBDNet search function permits the search of the CBD database for official active notices. The database is updated continuously as notices are entered into the CBDNet system. Notices remain in this "active" database for 15 business days. After the 15 days, notices are moved to the "archive" database, and remain there indefinitely. The archive database begins with December 2, 1996.

Edgar Online: 

Summary: Provides up-to-date Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings for all U.S. companies. User may search by company name or ticker symbol, then get the date of the last SEC filing, a quote, glimpse, snapshot, or annual report for the company's performance.

Mutual Funds: 

Summary: Links to publicly traded mutual funds. Everything you want to know. (No word-search capability.)

Yahoo:
