Using the image below, draw a yin-yang symbol on a separate piece of unlined paper. Then, fill in sections of the symbol to form a collage. You can use photographs from magazines or newspapers, create your own drawings, words, etc. No computer-generated images are allowed. Keep in mind what yin and yang represent, and arrange your collage accordingly. Think also about the personality or the different elements to each item before you decide to place it in the collage. Some items may seem equally yin and yang, in which case you may wish to place them more in the middle. For your reference, a short description of some of the objects and ideas that yin and yang represent is included below.
Yin (black) – moon, water, north, feminine, dark, soft, passive, earth
Yang (white) – sun, fire, south, masculine, bright, hard, active, heaven
You should have at least eight (8) words, phrases, or illustrations in each section. Your collage should be done on 8 ½ x 11 paper.
An “A” collage will (worth 25 points):

______/5 - Demonstrates that time and effort went into its creation
