April is National Serger Month

Do you have a serger you are not putting to good use? We offer a techniques class and two projects classes

at each store this month.

Sew Many Friends will meet on the second Tuesday afternoon during Sit & Sew. If there is a project you will be notified through the email of that group. There will be work on community projects like Comfort Caps, pillowcases, Days for Girls, and Linus Quilts or bring your own project as you sit and SEWcialize! All welcome!!!

April is National Serger Month! There is a serger class at both stores almost every week: a techniques class, a home dec project, and a garment project. Dust off and oil up your serger and come join the fun. The foot collection will also be included with the sale of any of the five-thread sergers, so it is a good time to consider a purchase if you do not have a serger or want to upgrade.

Anita Goodesign week will be April 17?22. There are always specials on those designs during that week which are open to everyone whether you take the class or not. It is also a good time to come for help on an embroidery project of your choice. Fabric, embroidery design, stabilizer, and needle all have to work together for the best product. Oh, a straight stitch plate also helps!

There are also machine specials including rebates on the Husqvarna Viking top four sewing/embroidery machines plus something coming on the Pfaff creative sensation pro II which has not been announced. During the month, Roni will go

to a Pfaff get creative meeting, so expect to hear more when she returns.

The month ends with Gallery and Fifth Saturday on the 29th. What is Fifth Saturday? On that day, every regular priced item you can fit in an embroidered SWN logo bag is 17% off. Bags are available for sale if you do not have one. It is surprising what customers have fit in their bags! You can, too!

EVENTS LESSONS FOR OWNERS AND SKILLS CLASSES

Sewing Machine or Serger

Mornings are usually a great time to schedule an owner's lesson. Private lessons available for a $25 - $35 per hour fee if you did not purchase your machine from SWN. No fee for lesson if machine purchased from SWN, however it is important to make an appointment. Yes, you bring your own machine so you begin to "bond" with it! NOTE: There is no limit on the number of owner's lessons you may have or how long ago you purchased your machine. Come in for a refresher!
