Family Tree Spanish Project

You will be creating a family tree, this can be of your own family or a make believe family.

This project will be accomplished through the use of a poster board, power point presentation, or a scrapbook (using construction paper and binding it together).

This project will serve as a - Major Assessment

- Writing grade

- Speaking grade

TITLE: El árbol de mi familia (My Family Tree) Title and must appear on the project

Task: Create a family tree with at least 10 family members with Spanish adjectives,age, and family relationships.( Entire Project MUST BE IN SPANISH PLEASE!)

STEP 1: collect pictures of family members, pets etc. (real or not real) from home, magazines or computer.

STEP 2: collect material needed (poster, booklet, construction paper, colored pencils, markers, if creating a PowerPoint you will need to save it on a Flash drive to bring to class

STEP 3: write a rough draft of each description

STEP 4: Let your teacher proof read your Spanish writing (you must have it

initialed)

STEP 5: transfer writing (typed) and pictures to poster, booklet or PPT

STEP 6: color and/or decorate as needed

project must be: NEAT , LEGIBLE, ORGANIZED , ALL TYPED

(no handwriting)

STEP 7: Present to class

Write each description in COMPLETE SENTENCES (in Spanish of course)

For each description include:

• A photo, or picture of the family member.( It does NOT have to be your real family)

• Tell the person’s relationship to you ( ella es mi prima / él es mi abuelo.)

• Tell the person’s name (Se llama . . . )

• Give a description of the person (Es . . . tall/short/pretty etc.)

At least 2 adjectives per person

• Tell how old the person is (Tiene . . . años) write it out in Spanish.

• You may include ONE pet ( el gato/el perro ) with a description.

ORAL PRESENTATION ( speaking Grade MAJOR ASSESSMENT)

You must MEMORIZE your oral presentation.

Oral presentation is 1 minute long. Grading rubric on the back

NOTE: bring a flash drive to class to save your work if you are making a PPT.
