Students accrue points through a variety of assessments. At the end of the trimester, a student’s average will be calculated by dividing the number of points he/she has earned by the total number of points possible to be earned.Homework PolicyHomework will be assigned on a daily basis. Students are expected to complete all homework assignments in a timely fashion.Attendance/Make-up Information/Extra-HelpStudents are expected to attend every class. The school attendance policy, as stated in the student handbook, will be strictly followed. If a student is absent from class, the school make-up work policy, as stated in the student handbook, will be strictly followed.If a student misses a class, it is her/his responsibility to seek out the teacher and get any missed assignments. Extra help is available before school. Please make arrangements with me if you need help another time.Class BehaviorStudents are expected to behave in class. This includes their interaction with peers and the teacher. Each student is expected to treat other students and the teacher with respect, listen while others are talking, and restrain from the use of foul/inappropriate language in the classroom.All disciplinary guidelines outlined in the student handbook will be strictly followed.OtherThis course is challenging not only because of the material but also because of the pace. If a student is finding it difficult to keep up with the class, he/she needs to talk with the teacher to find a solution (which may be to drop down a level). The student needs to keep the teacher informed of any major event occurring that may affect his/her work in the course. ................
