EXECUTIVE SESSION

WHEREAS, Section 8 of the Open Public Meetings Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-12 permits the exclusion of the public from a meeting in certain circumstances; and

WHEREAS, this public body is of the opinion that such circumstances exist;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Education of the Town of Hammonton in the County of Atlantic and State of New Jersey, as follows: The public shall be excluded from discussion on the actions upon the hereinafter specified subject matter: Personnel matters, contracts/litigations, negotiations, matters of attorney/client privilege. Any discussion held by the Board which need not remain confidential, will be made public as soon as is practicable. Minutes of the executive session will not be disclosed until the need for confidentiality no longer exists. The Board will reconvene to public session at the conclusion of the executive session. This Resolution shall become effective immediately.

RESOLVED, The board of education hereby approves the attendance of school board members and district employees at the

WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-11(5) authorizes contracting units to establish a Cooperative Pricing System and to enter into Cooperative Pricing Agreements for its administration; and

WHEREAS, the Camden County Educational Services Commission, hereinafter referred to as the “Lead Agency” has offered voluntary participation in a Cooperative Pricing System for the purchase of goods and services;

WHEREAS, on August 20, 2020 the governing body of the Hammonton Board of Education, County of Atlantic, State of New Jersey duly considered participation in a Cooperative Pricing System for the provision and performance of goods and services;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED as follows:

TITLE

This RESOLUTION shall be known and may be cited as the Cooperative Pricing Resolution of the Hammonton Board of Education

AUTHORITY

Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:11-11(5), the Business Administrator/Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to enter into a Cooperative Pricing Agreement with the Lead Agency.

CONTRACTING UNIT

The Lead Agency shall be responsible for complying with the provisions of the Local Public Contracts Law (N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq.) and all other provisions of the revised statues of the State of New Jersey

23. Resolution No. 20 09 R (W): Resolved that the Hammonton Board of Education approve to renew competitive contract with Realtime Information Technology, Inc. for student information system software in the amount of: $58,694.60 for general fund and $7,270.00 for food service for 2020-2021 school year. Increase in cost does not exceed CPI rate increase of 1.70%.

24. Resolution No. 20 09 R (W): Resolved that the Hammonton Board of Education ratify the purchase of the Defined Learning Program for use in grades 6-12 using the Title I Allocations for the Hammonton Middle School and Hammonton High School in the amount of $8,000 based on lowest quote.

25. Resolution No. 20 09 R (W): Resolved that the Hammonton Board of Education ratify the purchase of the IXL Program for use in grades 5-12 using the Title I Allocations for Warren E. Sooy Elementary School, Hammonton Middle School, and Hammonton High School in the amount of $34,117 based on lowest quote.

Resolution No. 20 09 R (W): Resolved that the Hammonton Board of Education approve the Chapter 226 Nonpublic Nursing Services agreement with Bayada Home Health Care in the amount of $55.00 per hour for a Registered Nurse(RN)from September 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021. Amount paid to Bayada shall not exceed the nonpublic nursing allocation established by the NJDOE.

63. Resolution No. 20 09 R: Resolved that the Hammonton Board of Education ratify a revision to the personnel approved for the summer 2020 Title I programs at the March 12, 2020 board meeting. This revision is for additional hours needed for nursing services (Teresa Christopher and Cynthia McBride) at the Early Childhood Center and the elementary school for the summer of 2020. Total hours needed and funded through the ESEA grant are 83.50 hours at $59/hr totaling salaries of $4,175 and FICA of $320. These hours will be split equally between the ESEA school allocations for ECEC and WES.

64. Resolution No. 20 09 R: Resolved that the Hammonton Board of Education ratify an additional 2 days of training time for Nicole Spina, elementary school part-time instructional aide, to be used during the week of August 31, 2020 as per attached Exhibit O.
