*Do you see how the word would is included in the phrases above?

That’s why the Spanish verb gustar has an ía on the end of it.

It’s not simply I like, it’s would like.

prepararse – to get ready then put the appropriate reflexive pronoun before the verb.

Tener gañas de + infinitive form of the action verb – to feel like… (doing something)

Tener que + infinitive form of the action verb – to have to …(do something)

Tener ...#..años – to be a certain age tener prisa – to be in a hurry

Tener hambre – to be hungry tener sed – to be thirsty

Tener miedo – to be afraid tener suerte – to be lucky

Tener sueño - to be sleepy tener razón – to be right (correct)

Tener vergüenza - to be ashamed/ embarrassed tener calor – to feel hot (temperature)
