CLEVELAND CLINIC, DEPARTMENT OF PLASTIC SURGERY FELLOWSHIP: September 15, 2019 to

September 14, 2020

Cleveland Clinic, Department of Plastic Surgery is offering a second, one year fellowship position in

Microsurgery and Breast Reconstruction based at its Main Campus in Cleveland, OH for the 2018-2019

academic year.

Fellows will gain significant experience in microvascular reconstruction with particular emphasis on

reconstructive breast procedures. The fellow will develop expertise in soft tissue and bony

reconstruction in the head and neck, trunk and extremity. A high volume and breadth of complex

oncologic and traumatic presentations will be encountered. Additional training in microsurgical and

supermicrosurgical treatments for lymphedema will be acquired. The fellow will have an opportunity to

participate in the care of vascularized composite tissue allotransplant patients.

Access to the Cleveland Clinic microsurgery skills training lab and fresh cadaver lab is available. Fellows

will participate in research, resident teaching and departmental educational conferences.

Applicants will have completed an accredited plastic surgery training program in US or Canada and must

be eligible for licensure in Ohio. Applicants should also be or eligible to be Plastic Surgery Board

certified. Outstanding International applicants with current USMLE and ECFMG certification and who

qualify for Ohio state licensure are also welcomed.
