JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Weighmaster - Floater FLSA CLASS: Salaried, Non-Exempt
STATUS: Full Time/Permanent
DIVISION: Stoneway Concrete REPORTS TO: Office Manager
EXPECTATION FOR ALL EMPLOYEES:

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Office Manager, this position provides exceptional customer service to customers and assists various departments of the company with regard to batch plant operations. This person will also work with the Plant Manager for operation guidance and questions.
Essential functions:
▪ Ensures that all material leaves the yard accounted for and any material dumped is charged to the proper job, or customer.
▪ Travels from two to three different plants to work.
▪ Provide front line Customer Service by assisting walk in customers with the selection of proper materials, dumping procedures, costs, etc. Answering all incoming phone calls. Correspond with intra company personnel when needed by phone and via e-mail.
▪ Maintain a good working relationship with Plant Manager and Outside Quarry personnel.
▪ Knowledgeable of material produced and stocked. Familiar with the location of products available for purchase.
▪ Familiar with list prices for all material sold.
▪ Maintain daily activity spreadsheet including weekends and after hours.
▪ Generate and record tickets for after hours and weekend activities.
▪ Collect cash or run credit card transaction for all COD Sales. Verifying customer and credit card information prior to finalizing the sale. Verifying correct amount was charged and collected.
▪ Account for all cash sales, record on the daily cash spreadsheet.
▪ Organize all cash tickets separately and verify that monies are accounted for each ticket.
▪ Reconcile all credit card transactions at the end of day.
▪ Knowledgeable of Systech capabilities and functions. Familiar with looking up products, new jobs and customer accounts. Accurately entering and assigning the correct account number, job number and product number to each ticket.
▪ Obtain a current Reseller’s Permit for non taxable customers and forward to the Credit Department.
▪ Responsible for obtaining every customer’s signature on each ticket printed.
▪ Maintain open communications with Billing, Credit, and Sales Departments as questions arise.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

6. Quality Control – the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.
7. Adaptability – the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
8. Dependability – the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
9. Safety and Security – the individual actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of one year related experience
EXPERIENCE:
Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization; establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and the general public.
2+ years customer service experience required.
Familiarity with construction terminology and practices a must. Concrete/aggregate experience preferred.
Work requires continual attention to detail, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands with minimal supervision.
Basic math skills required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Office located at several different pits in Seattle area. Reliable transportation is required.
This is a full time position.
This position will require occasional after hour, weekend, and night work. Flexibility with regard to work schedule is required.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
May require infrequent lifting up to 50lbs.
