WASHINGTON SERVICE CORPS

SERVE TODAY FOR A BETTER TOMORROW.

Importance of Recruitment

? Spending time on creating a great WSC/WRC AmeriCorps applicant pool is worth the effort.

? Lack of gathering an adequate applicant pool has resulted in sites picking members who are not well suited to service. This may result in misconduct and members who leave positions early.

? As member placement fees are not refundable, sites also lose money and time addressing misconduct issues.

? Resources in this training will help provide you the tools you need to develop an adequate applicant pool, from which to select a member.
