We have a workforce of more than 250 people with a headquarters located in the historic city of Worcester, a technical and marketing team in Derby, along with many remote workers across the length and breadth of the UK.

The team

The team consists of a group of specialist marketers, to include a Marketing Director, Marketing Manager, Communications Manager, Events Manager, and Digital Executive.

Incidentally we are also recruiting two other new positions including an interim Marketing Executive and another permanent Marketing Manager for this growing team.

We have a workforce of more than 250 people with a headquarters located in the historic city of Worcester, a technical and marketing team in Derby, along with many remote workers across the length and breadth of the UK.

Marketing is primarily a remote team with a presence in our creative, open plan Derby office, which is where this position will be based. Meeting regularly to plan and review marketing activity across the Group, the team is friendly with a strong drive for results.

Main responsibilities

The Marketing Administrator is required to support the Liaison Group marketing team with daily administrative tasks, event co-ordination, digital and social communications, and research.

This would suit either a graduate looking for their first role, or someone with some previous marketing/events experience.

You may have previously worked as a Marketing Administrator, Events Co-ordinator/Events Assistant or Marketing/Communications Assistant.

Duties will include:

Events

• Supporting with the logistical elements of all Liaison Group events, including liaising with multiple suppliers, booking accommodation communicating final event arrangements to internal stakeholders

• On-site support where required

• Post-event feedback – feedback form creation, follow up and report assistance

• Assisting with the management of the events area within CRM

• Writing, proofing and sending pre and post-event communications

• Monitoring competitor event activity for future planning

• Delegate name badges.

General

• Booking team meetings, meeting rooms, travel etc

• Monitoring and responding to queries to general email enquiries

• Monitoring Brand Teams channel

• Updating marketing account logins and passwords

• Maintain supplies of branded merchandise and printed collateral

• Ordering business cards, ID cards and name badges for staff

• Proofreading presentations/documents for spelling, grammar and corporate style

• Support for new starters and staff inductions.

Digital and social communications

• Monitoring social media channels – Liaison and competitors

• Monitoring media activity – Liaison and competitors – via Kantar

• Creating and scheduling posts on social media including graphics

• Creating monthly social media reports

• Webinar organisation and follow-up

• Monitoring website traffic and creating monthly reports

• Maintaining email lists

• Upload collateral to marketing portal, maintain and manage access

• Assist with collation of content for weekly internal newsletter

• Charity newsletter and comms support around fundraising events.

Research

• Competitors and market research

• Desk-based research for marketing activity

• Marketing best practice.

Experience and qualifications required

You will have some marketing/events experience and a desire for a career within this area.

Experience & skills

Essential:

• Good knowledge of driving awareness and engagement through social media

platforms and channels

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Good command of written English, with excellent attention to detail.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of key analytics and marketing automation software including

HubSpot, Google Analytics, Kantar.

Qualifications & Training

• Degree or equivalent in Marketing/Communications/Events Management

preferred but not essential.

• Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) qualification or willingness to work

towards it.

Travelling

• Public transport is available to our Derby offices on Pride Park, or free car

parking is available on site.

• Car not essential but you must have the ability and willingness to travel within

the UK.
