Based in our Graduate Recruitment Team, but working in partnership across the wider department and aligned closely to our Placement Team, this role will support with the key digital platforms used by our students throughout their employability journey. The role holder will consistantly look at how this journey can be improved and recorded more accurately by improving our digital support offering, and will lead on the administration required to ensure this. As well as this, the role holder will work with all teams across the department to ensure accuracy in recorded data, using this along with other relevant data sources to help us review and evaluate our service provision; offering evidence based assessments of the impact of our services on our students, graduates and partner employers to assist the Student Futures Leadership team in their planning and decision-making to achieve our strategic goals.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesAct as the department contact for our key careers support software providers (currently myFuture and Abintegro), advising the team on key developments to this and working with both providers to resolve user issues from staff and studentsEnsure appropriate system upgrades are made, liaising with IS as required to resolve configuration, testing and development issuesWork collaboratively with these providers and our internal Governance team as our GDPR Champion, to ensure compliance in line with required University legislation, codes and policiesWork with the Graduate Recruitment Manager and Lead Placements Officer to define best practice in system usage expected from the department, offering training and support on this where requiredLead on system reporting, providing suitable Management Information to the Leadership Team in order to objectively inform evidence based assessments of the impact of our servicesWork collaboratively and build relationships across the team, and wider University, to gain an understanding of the narrative behind our data, enhancing your ability to draw accurate conclusions from this and make suitable suggestions for business improvements. Use available data along with knowledge and understanding of careers support in a Higher Education context to evaluate and enhance student engagement with our services and eventsAnalysis and evaluation of large and complex data sets, drawing on technical expertise and knowledge of student focused careers support, to explain results in a user friendly and engaging format – either through written reports or presentations to stakeholders.Draw on your knowledge and understanding of careers support in a Higher Education context to support the wider team with a variety of projects and employability initiatives, utilising good planning and organisational skills throughout.
