These issues often occur because of differing ideas of how the marriage should function.Often a couple will have different ideas on how to conduct family finances. There are differences of opinion on whether one person controls the finances of the family or whether there is joint control.Questions arise as to who should earn the money for the household and how much money is necessary.Arguments over where the money is allocated. How much money should be spent on necessities vs. how much can be spent on recreational goods/activities.The routine of marriage can become burdensome to some people, causing them to seek happiness outside of the marriage.Obviously, when one person seeks happiness with a person who is not their legal partner, there can be conflict. In marriages couples have expectations of what the union will be, and when things occur contrary to this, they can become dissatisfied.Expectations of how many children the family will have.Locations of homes and families can often be a cause of conflict. The couple may have differing goals, roles or careers.Conflict over careers or house management.Moral issues with regards to religion, drugs, or methods of raising children.Physical or Verbal abuse, an inability of the couple to resolve differences, or communication issues can cause a marriage to fail. When one or both partners actively abuse one another in either a physical or verbal capacity, it can cause the marriage to fracture.Successful couples develop methods of ‘fair fighting’ over complications. Without these methods, fights and grudges can go unresolved.Good communication is necessary for a couple to maintain happiness throughout their lives. Without communication, a person can become dissatisfied with their partner. The causes of divorce are multifaceted. Successful couples constantly work to make their marriages flourish. If a couple cannot compromise, the marriage can fracture. Both partners need to have a similar idea of how the marriage should function. Without consensus on how major issues should be handled, conflict will go unresolved. ................
