Taylor, announced a number of significant promotions to the ranks of the company’s senior management.

The most significant of those promotions are:

• Enterprise President and Chief Operating Officer, Donald L. Ross, has been promoted to Vice Chairman of the company, reporting to Taylor. He remains President. In his expanded role, Ross will assist Taylor with issues to include corporate governance, strategic planning, and management development. A native of St. Louis, Ross joined the company in 1964 as one of the first employees of its new rental car operation.

• Pamela M. Nicholson has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, reporting to Ross. Prior to her promotion, Nicholson served as Executive Vice President of North American Operations. Additionally, the company announced the promotion of Greg R. Stubblefield to the newly created position of President of California and Hawaii of Enterprise. Stubblefield, who began his career in Southern California in 1982 as a management trainee, was serving as President and General Manager of the company’s Southern California operations.

The comparatively large size of the California market, as well as the growing complexities of that state’s regulatory and legislative environment, were all factors in the decision to create this new position. Stubblefield will also continue to serve in his Southern California role at least through the completion of the company’s current fiscal year on July 31, 2004.

“At Enterprise, we have been fortunate to enjoy tremendous success and growth over our 47 years in operation,” said Taylor. “These promotions in our management team come after careful consideration of the talents and skill sets we will need to direct and grow what is already a multinational, industry-leading business with more than 50,000 employees.

“I’m particularly pleased that Don Ross, who was one of this company’s first 100 employees, will be assisting me in his new role as Vice Chairman and President,” Taylor added. “His promotion is a reflection of his great skills as a developer of leaders and a career-long commitment to this company and my family.”

Enterprise Rent-A-Car is the largest rental car company in North America with more than 5,500 locations in North America and Europe. For its fiscal year ended July 31, 2003, the company recorded worldwide revenues of $6.9 billion U.S. The company was founded in St. Louis in 1957 by Jack C. Taylor, who remains the company’s principle owner.
