Federal Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loans and Federal TEACH Grant funds are available for the summer semester if you have remaining eligibility from the fall and winter semesters. Please review the Maximum Annual Loan Limits for Federal Direct Loans chart available at oakland.edu/financialservices/summer before submitting this request to Student Financial Services.

If you have not already done so, complete a 2018-2019 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at . Before financial aid can be awarded, Oakland University Student Financial Services must have a 2018-2019 FAFSA on file by June 30, 2019 or two weeks before your last summer session ends (whichever is earlier).

You must be admitted into an eligible degree, certificate program, or preparatory coursework to be considered for financial aid. See the list of eligible graduate and post-master's certificate programs. Endorsements, second majors, professional development, non-degree, continuing education, credit by exam (competency credit), audited courses, guest students, etc. are only eligible for private loans.

____ You are responsible for ensuring summer tuition and on-campus housing charges are paid by the due date. Please visit oakland.edu/financialservices/ for payment, refund, payment plan, and direct deposit information.

____ You will receive information regarding financial aid eligibility for the summer semester via your OU email and MySAIL, generally within 5-10 business days.

Financial Aid may be processed for OU Study Abroad Programs only. Financial aid cannot be processed for Study Abroad Programs offered through another university/college.
