OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING SUMMER FINANCIAL AID The priority deadline for summer aid is March 15, 2019. If all required paperwork is not received by that date, we cannot ensure that

your financial aid will be in place by the summer billing due date. This would require that you pay your bill by the due date and then be reimbursed after your aid is applied to your account. In addition to this summer application, you must also submit the 2019-2020 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for summer aid. You can complete the 2019-2020 FAFSA at . Returning students will not normally have summer aid processed until the Spring 2019 grades are finalized. You must be registered for summer classes before your financial aid can be processed. In order to receive financial aid (except Federal Pell Grant), undergraduate students must be enrolled for at least 6 credits during the summer sessions. This may be any combination of sessions totaling 6 credits. Graduate and doctoral students must be enrolled for at least 3 credits during the summer session to receive financial aid. Your financial aid will not be credited to your billing account until the end of the add/drop period of the last summer session. An additional application is required for undergraduates to apply for a summer Pennsylvania State Grant (PHEAA Grant). Applications can be found at stategrants. You must be enrolled for a minimum of 6 credits in at least one summer session (minimum of 6 weeks in length) to be eligible for a state grant. Also, any online (including hybrid) courses you take cannot exceed more than 50% of your total summer credits to be eligible for a full state grant award. If enrollment exceeds more than 50% online/hybrid courses you may receive a reduced award determined by PHEAA. Receiving a summer PHEAA grant will count toward your total semesters of PHEAA grant eligibility. Aid will only be available for summer classes held at Holy Family. Consortium and contractual agreements will not be honored for summer sessions. Receiving a Federal Pell Grant during the summer may reduce the amount that you receive during the following fall or spring semesters since you are limited to an annual maximum amount. Borrowing a Federal Direct Loan during the summer will reduce the amount you can borrow during the following fall and spring semesters since you are limited to an annual maximum loan amount. The application of aid to your bill certifies that you understand your rights, responsibilities and the policies as detailed above and on our web site, holyfamily.edu/finaid.
