ADMISSIONS PROCEDURE GRADE 8 (2021)

The Department of Education Online process must be followed to apply at this school.

GRADE 8 APPLICATION PROCESS FOR 2021

1. Applications for Grade 8 2021 will be open from 25 JUNE 2020 to 25 JULY 2020 on the GDE online website: .za

2. Certified copies of documents will need to be uploaded on to the GDE online website and hard copies handed in at the school within 7 working days. PLEASE NOTE documents may only be handed in at the school during the following times: MONDAY ? FRIDAY FROM 08:00 UNTIL 10:00 AT GATE 3.

3. The following certified documents will be needed: 3.1 Unabridged Birth Certificate. 3.2 Latest School Report. 3.3 Both Parent's ID Copies. 3.4 Proof of residence (Must be either water & lights account or rental agreement or bank statement reflecting home address used for application). 3.5 Proof of Work Address.

NB. The following Application Options are available:

1. OPTION 1: HOME ADDRESS within the school's feeder zone. 2. OPTION 2: SIBLING/PREVIOUS SCHOOL. The applicant learner has a SIBLING (brother or

sister in Grade 11) attending this school. 3. OPTION 3: WORK ADDRESS within the school's feeder zone. 4. OPTION 4: HOME ADDRESS within a 30-kilometre radius of the school. 5. OPTION 5: HOME ADDRESS beyond a 30-kilometre radius of the school.

Note that placement is prioritized on Home Address within the Feeder Zone. You can select a maximum of 3 (three) Schools at the same time when using the Home Application Option.

Parents will receive a Waiting list number for application via SMS ? please SAVE this SMS. (This message is not a guarantee; it is merely a confirmation of the application).

PLEASE TAKE NOTE of the process to submit hardcopies of supporting documents at the school within 7 working days AFTER having applied on the GDE Online system:

1. Monday ? Friday 08h00 ? 10h00. 2. Only at Gate 3 (NOT THE MAIN GATE!) 3. NO copies will be made at school! 4. ALL supporting documents must be

handed in simultaneously. 5. Must have the GDE Online Waiting List

Number.
