This will entail leading and coordinating policy and advocacy activity across country offices and advocacy offices.The Head of Policy and Advocacy will:convene and coordinate education expertise relevant to policy developmentlead the development of global positions and policies ensuring that it draws from experience and learning across our education programmeslead the Education Advocacy and Policy work group so that Save the Children has a high quality education advocacy strategy and annual work plans and targetsrepresent Save the Children at key external fora relevant to its policy aimsbe a key member of the Education Global Initiative Core TeamSCOPE OF ROLE: Reports to: Director, Education Global InitiativeDimensions: Budget responsibilities $10,000 to 20,000Number of direct reports: N/A KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:Lead education policy development on priority issues: Coordinate policy development work on key issues across membersCoordinate and support internal and external consultation with key stakeholdersProduce high quality policy and advocacy materials.
