What are Reward Schools?
Reward Schools are schools that ranked in the top 5% overall, top 5% in improvement, or identified as a Beating the Odds school (using either methodology 1 or 2).
Schools that are "Beating the Odds" are those that outperform other schools in similar situations. o Methodology 1 identifies schools performing above their predicted levels based on traditional barriers to student achievement. o Methodology 2 identifies schools performing above a comparison of the most demographically similar schools in the state. o Any school identified as Beating the Odds by either methodology is also designated as a Reward School.
