I don't know if anyone looks forward to Lent the way we do Advent. But this year I am intrigued by what Lent means to you. I would like to share with the congregation in my weekly emails and during worship YOUR thoughts on the significance of the Lenten season as we prepare for Holy Week. I'm letting you know a month in advance!

Your Spiritual Formation Directors, Leigh Anne and Tracie, and I are planning some special events for that season, sermons and fellowship hour discussions, along with resources for us to use at home.

Whatever Lent means to you or what you would like it to mean to you this you know that God's love experienced in the cross of Christ and his empty tomb are yours.

Peace, Pastor Garrett

The Annual Congregational Meeting will be held on Sunday February 5th, immediately following the Worship Service.

I have recently started a Tenants Association at my new home. I am a social being as you can see! I like to volunteer in many venues.

I moved to Clay, Ny 1 1/2 years from Canisteo, NY to be close to my family and I no longer wanted to maintain a home. I do travel to Myrtle Beach for the Winter, however I love it here! I fell in love with your Church immediately. It is warm and comfortable. I can feel the spirit here and have met many nice people. I do have a sense of humor, both bad and good! I am happy and healthy at the present time and hope to be that way for years to come. Finally, I thank God everyday for everything and am blessed to have found this Church... -Robin Kerr -Wilson

The Kittle Family Ben grew up in Marion, NY and I grew up in Westmoreland, NY. I received my bachelor's degree from Syracuse University in 2004, my master's from Upstate Medical University in 2014 and am currently working on my PhD at Binghamton University. After ten years in the workforce, Ben decided to get his degree and is currently attending OCC, hopefully graduating in the next year. We met at Mercy Flight Central where Ben was an IT/Communications Specialist and I was a flight nurse. I also worked at Upstate as an RN and lived in Liverpool. When we got married in 2011, Ben looked for a job in this area and we made this our home.

Ben now works for Aspen Dental Management in East Syracuse as an Intranet Administrator. I still work at Upstate and after working in a few different roles, now run the trauma program. We had our beautiful baby boy Benjamin 6 months ago and he is by far our greatest achievement. He is our biggest interest right now but before he came along Ben and I enjoyed many outdoor activities including skiing, snowmobiling, hiking and kayaking and can't wait to do these things as a family. We had both attended church in our hometowns growing up and when we had moved away, had not found a church to attend. When Benjamin came along, we knew we wanted to raise him to know God the way we do and started to look for a church to call home. We actually began our search at Liverpool First Presbyterian and knew from our first visit that we had found just that. -Jolene, Ben & Benjamin Kittle

Kristen - Grew up in Endicott, NY. Graduated with Bachelors Degree in Psychology from University of Pittsburgh at Bradford in 2007, and Master of Social Work from Binghamton University in 2009. Previously worked in long-term care, joined the Alzheimer's Association, Central New York Chapter last April as the Director of Programs and Services, which is what brought us up to Liverpool. We met in college in 2005. We were married in 2010, and have two kids: Connor (4) & Emily (2 in May). We moved to Liverpool this past August from Endicott. The kids keep us a bit busy for any hobbies, but we're enjoying exploring our new hometown (parks, zoo, library) as a family. -Bryan, Kristen, Connor & Emily Campbell

From the LFPC Deacons

Give, and you will receive. You will be given much. Pressed down, shaken together, and running over, it will spill into your lap. The way you give to others is the way God will give to you. Luke 6:38

We have a growing number of people in need in our own congregation. The deacons are looking to compile a phone tree, a list of people who would be willing to help our sisters and brothers in their times of need. Please use the tear-off in church to check areas where you may be of assistance to others. The phone tree will have different "branches" depending on the need and you will be placed on the list according to your availability. It is our hope that many hands will make light work.

We could use help in the following areas: Cooking meals, transportation of members to/from church, driving members to appointments, visiting our homebound. Please let us know what time of day you

are available. You may leave a message at the Church office (457-3161). Thank you and God bless!
