Job Summary:

The Technical Support Coordinator supports the Engineering and Quality departments with a wide range of administrative duties. The role works as a liaison between Engineering and Quality to develop, maintain, and submit the Company’s First Article Inspection (FAI) packages according to regulatory, customer and company requirements along with other tasks as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance to Engineering and Quality in administrative matters

• Prepare First Article Inspection (FAI) reports for submittal to the customer, utilizing web-based customer applications (eCAV) in addition to Excel

• Perform product audits monthly as scheduled

• Maintain and manage technical files and records in an organized manner

• Collect data, enter data into various spreadsheets or databases, and display data in various forms

• Prepare reports on key shop metrics and track associated projects (e.g. losses, first time yield, NPI cycle time completion, etc.)

• Facilitate Process Failures Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) events

• Assist in the maintenance of the Document Control filing system

• Support and perform internal quality system audits to evaluate the QMS for compliance with applicable regulations and standards

• Assist with regulatory and internal audit preparation and audits as required

• Assist with MPP’s employee training program as required

• Assist with the Corrective and Preventive Action process at MPP and lead effective Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations

• Assist in the disposition of nonconforming product and the development of rework tickets within internal and customer systems (eNMS)

• Complete these and other job duties as instructed

Qualifications / Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Working knowledge in reading and interpreting drawings, technical specifications and industry standards.

• Advanced computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel

• Read, write, speak English

• Legal authorization to work in the US

Desired Characteristics:

• 1 - 2 Years of technical administrative experience or related experience in a technical field or manufacturing

• Excellent attention to detail while performing meticulous data entry tasks

• Strong interpersonal, analytical, writing and communication skills

• Auditing experience strongly preferred

• Working knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS) requirements

• Standard manufacturing process knowledge

• Familiarity with Customer Requirements (such as GE’s S-1000 or S-1002)

• Experience with disposition of nonconforming material

• Self-directed, independent, and highly-motivated

• Able to function in a team environment by establishing cooperative working relationships with peers and co-workers

Work Environment:

• May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, smoke (Not over OSHA Permissible Exposure Levels)

• Safety training and equipment are provided by MPP in accordance with applicable law, industry standards and company policy
