4800600-685800JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB TITLE: Community Project Officer REPORTS TO: Community Project Coordinator RESPONSIBLE FOR:VolunteersSALARY: ?18,534 per annumLOCATION:West Midlands wide with a Stoke on Trent or Tipton base. The post-holder will be expected to travel across the West Midlands to fulfil the requirements of the role.JOB SUMMARYTo assist in the development and delivery of a portfolio of Groundwork West Midlands Community Team projects. This role will primarily involve supporting the delivery of a number of funding programmes across the West Midlands region including: Tesco’s Bags of Help and the Comic Relief Community Fund. The role will support grant panels, promote and support applications for grants, support successful groups, gather learning and manage local PR.KEY TASKS Assist with local promotion of the two grant programs named above, particularly in areas where there is low uptake, through attending community network meetings, liaising with relevant agencies and using social and local media routes.Provide pre application support to groups including providing advice and guidance on the application process and project planning.Support grant panel members in project decisions and coordinate grant panel meetings.Provide relevant funders with decisions and feedback from panels.Support the development and delivery of programme learning activities.Collate case study material, quotes and personal stories from successful projects.Support successful projects and projects experiencing difficulties with project delivery including offering technical support, general support, guidance and signposting to relevant agencies when appropriate.Attend and support project celebration eventsProvide monitoring reports on project progress.Respond to requests for information from funder in a timely manner.Support the evaluation process by providing feedback on programme design and learning from projects.Maintain an up to date knowledge of the programmes, processes and systems including attending training sessions and briefings as required.Support the delivery of Groundwork wider portfolio of Health, Community, Environment and education projects.People Management and Development To participate in line management meetings and the performance appraisal process.To support volunteers working within the Community team and ensure they have the appropriate training to the required munication and MarketingTo represent Groundwork West Midlands at appropriate meetings with a range of partners and stakeholders.
